School Stuff

I started back to school almost 2 years ago. I had to make up grades for classes that I never withdrew from. I have had my work cut out for me. I am not a great math student and have made all A's and B's in my math classes. I think that this is quite amazing seeing how I have taken all but one of my math classes online and basically taught myself. I have worked my butt off to make good grades because to get into the program I am trying to get into you need to have as close to a 4.0 as possible. I have a 3.791 in my pre req classes. So here is where my little problem comes in. Back in 1992 during my first year in college I took English 1 and got a B. This one crappy B may keep me from getting a confirmed seat in my program. The counselor told me that I will most likely get an alternate seat for the program. So if someone who gets into the program does not show up then I will get in. I just think that it is unfair that a grade I received when I was 18 and fresh out of high school may keep me from pursuing my dream..:(

wow, what to say here. my oldest daughter is currently in university and has a course she wants to take but can't, but didn't take the prerequisite in high school even though we tried to convince her at the time by not taking it, she was probably going to cut back her options. it doesn't seem fair to me that your mark from high school can do this, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

That does seem a little messed up, and I've worked at three colleges. Seats do open up for programs all the time so I wish you luck! I am a firm believer that everything happens they way it does for a reason.
