New diet

I haven't post much in the last few days because I haven't been feeling all that great. I started this new medically managed diet and it is taking it's toll on my attitude. I started last Friday and will have my first weigh-in on Saturday. I had to cut out all sugar and all carbs for 4 days. I am now eating a few carbs in veggies but nothing like I am used to. I am a suger junkie and it almost killed me the first 3 days. I am feeling better today and with my meds I have not had any feelings of hunger or like I am starving to death. I just have super bad headaches from the lack of sugar. I think it will get better once my body adjusts or at least I hope so. I will be sure to keep you all post with my weight loss.

Wow, good luck with that. It sounds like a very aggressive/ambitious plan. But it also sounds like you're sticking to it. Good for you!

If you really like sugar, then I strongly recommend Stevia Plus.

Stevia is a natural plant from the rainforest and is a primary sweetner for soft drinks in Asia.

Stevia is completely safe for diabetics and can actually help regulate your blood sugar. It's also about 30x sweeter than sugar.

Stevia will probably never be a sweetner in the US due to the sugar lobbyists being so strong. However, it is a "food additive" in the natural foods world.

My family has extensive, rampant, diabetes - yet my blood sugar tests around the low 80's at any given time. I absolutely swear by Stevia Plus and I've turned a lot of people on to it and they won't go back to artificial sweetners or sugar either.

Stevia Plus also helps with the fiber intake and has ZERO calories. You can get more info at www.SweetLeaf.com or www.MotherNature.com.

And for those that think Splenda is the way to go -- WRONG! Review the site www.TheTruthAboutSplenda.com and you will never use that stuff again!

i think this is just another one of those "signs" that i should be doing the same thing. but medically supervised? what does that mean? i'm seriously asking because i've got health issues that are directly related to my weight. i've failed time and time again over the past six years to get in gear and keep the weight off. i honestly think that weight loss and diet are the hardest tasks to accomplish! Good luck to you! Stay focused and you can do it!

What diet are you on? Good luck to you! I know you can do it, and when I come to FL you and I and Kelly will sit at the poolside in our bikinis. ;-) Well, maybe I'll bring my coverup, I wouldn't want anyone to pass out or anything. :p

I agree about the steviaplus, it tastes great and you get extra fiber. I have been using stevia for many years now, I have lost weight and continue to keep my blood sugars balanced. If you have a green thumb the stevia plants are great to grow, the sweet leaves are delicious to chew on when I want a sweet treat. I am a big fan of the new sweetleaf stevia liquid flavors too, the Dark Chocolate is my fav, a few drops in my plain yogurt with fresh strawberries, To Live For!!!:)
