My Miracle Diet

So Indigo wants to know how I lost my 23 pounds. It is amazing what happens when you stop eating at Mcdonalds and Sonic. I stopped eating fast food and starting cutting my meals down a little at a time and before I knew it about a fourth of the amount I used to eat fills me up. I still have days when I eat brownies and ice cream but they are few and far between. I am hoping to lose another 35 pounds by my birthday next year. Hey maybe I will get one of those little ticker things to track my weight lose. Anyone else out there trying to lose a little weight?

i'm almost at my weight again, i put on almost 20 lbs this past summer simply by drinking. i've got a few more to go, my jeans fit again, snug, but they used to be loose. i just cut out the blender drinks and was careful what i've been eating, no brownies, but i did have a decantant slice of cheesecake at my daughter's birthday last week. i need to get the weight off so i can put it back on over christmas!

One day blogger will have a spell check. I meant "loss." Shakes head and walks away. :-)

My wonderful DIL PresentStorm went on a diet for her blood pressure (which is now perfect, by the way.) She cut out almost all red meat, fried foods, and anything with a high sodium content. She has lost a bunch of weight doing this, and she hasn't had to give up desserts. Unfotunately, I keep sampling the stuff I bake for my customers -- have to be sure it's good, after all -- and I don't get enough exercise, so the 20 pounds I need to lose is not voluntarily going away.

Congratulations on your success :)

That's pretty much how I try my own weight loss and though I'm only in college, I think eating habits established in college can set the tone for future eating habits. So I like tubs of B&J, but I mostly only buy lots of veggies and lean meats. I am in love with vegetables. Some garlic in the diet is also good too.

And yeah, cutting the fast food out does miracles as I learned years ago, when I gave up the habit of eating at fast food.
