I hate Laundry..

WARNING BORING POST:

Okay am I the only person in the world who can never catch up with the laundry? I just put the last load in and think to myself yeah I did it I caught up, and then here come kids 1 and 2 with a basket each from the eternal pit of dirty laundry(their room). Oh well I guess I am going to be visiting my laundry room yet again this weekend. I swear I do 17 loads of laundry a week. I keep the downy people in business.

Which leads me to the dishes. What was I thinking when I got a house with no dishwasher? According to dh we have a dish washer(me)! I do the dishes, dry my hands off and turn around and the sink is full again. Right now I can hear the sink getting full again. So off I go to do the laundry and the dishes.

I hear ya... I've got 4 kids, so the laundry is the same way here. Of course, my oldest is 13 and I make her do her own stuff, so I'm only keeping up with 5 people's laundry.

But no dishwasher??? Heavens, I don't think I could stand it!

Heck, I don't do the Spouse Thingy's or the Boy's laundry, just mine, and I can't keep up. It would help if everytime I went to do it there wasn't someone else's stuff there...

here via Michele today :)

i've got three kids and the laundry never stops, my are old enough now that they usually do their own, i taught them as soon as they each turned 10, makes a difference, but i still never seem to get caught up. i have a dishwasher, and for some reason, it always seems to be on as well???????????

Laundry sucks! Folding the clothes sucks! Putting them away sucks. Going past the hamper and finding it full again.... that really sucks. It's a never ending sucky cycle!

Yup the laundry hides in the most interesting places... and it never ends. I have two little girls that adore the game dress-up... I shudder to think what it will be like when they become teenagers.

I hope you got all the dirty work done and had some time to play! At least you can start your week "fresh as a daisy"! Here's to a great week... with minimum housework!

Nope, you aren't the only one. I do it all week long, and I think for a brief moment on Sunday night I'm all done. Brief, I can't stress enough that's a very very brief moment.

We only have one son and I feel like there's always a load of laundry (at least one) swishing around every day. Being without a dishwasher is rough - we finally have a house that has one and it is sooooooo nice. I would send you one in the mail if I could!

Beanhead: I looked for a guide to abbreviations or acronyms: is DH "dear husband", "dumb husband," or just initials? Be careful with initials, btw. Acronyms are better. I like your block. Good luck with the laundry issue. I personally let it pile up until someone else does it, but that approach might not work for you, as you sound conscientious and virtuous.

DH is whichever he is being a dear husband or dumb husband!

I hate laundry, too. Laundry is bad.

I have seven kids and my husband is a painter so his clothes are always nasty. The rule around here is that I wash, I dry. The two oldest fold and put piles on the table and then everyone has to put their own clothes away. Of course, since we can't eat if they don't clear off the table it works out ok.

OI!! Laundry is a bad word in this house. The hampers are always overflowing. I try to catch up but i hate putting laundry away so i have piles on the couch, the beds, the dressers.
Now go buy yourself a dishwasher, i would go crazy w/o one.

Um...Laundry is the devil here too. I can always seem to get it washed but not put away, so we live out of the laundry room...

Now....the dishwasher....that I can't do without!
