I did not fall off the face of the Earth

So this past week has been the week from hell. My grandmother is still in the hospital. It is going to be a long road and at the end of the road it may not be the end we had all hoped for. My grandmother is one feisty woman and she is strong, so I know that she is not going out without a fight. I am glad that I have been able to be there for her through all this.

I still have to finish the Algebra class. Did I ever tell you all I hate math!?!? My professor is a hard ass and a math whiz so she just does not get that math is hard...:( Oh well I am going to quit whining and go finish the math lesson for this week and go see my grandmother.

Doing The Happy Dance

I am about to get up and do the happy dance because I am going to my last Physics class and lab tonight!! Woo Hoo I did it! I finished physics and I got an A in the class and the lab. I worked my butt off in this class and I am glad it is over. Now I need to get an A in algebra! Come on everyone jump up and join me in the happy dance!! Sorry about all the ! but I am excited.

~Wild And Crazy PTA Weekend~

Okay I am back from the crazy wild PTA weekend. It was crazy. We got to the resort and and the room was ready.. wow how exciting our room is ready and we can go check in it out. We walk in and the room is 95 degrees. We call to have it fixed and the lady informs me that I broke it!!! My roommate then calls her back to let her know that she cannot talk to me that way and that we did not break the A/C. So they send the guy to fix it, long story short when we get back from our YUMMY dinner at Carrabba's our room is still 95 degrees. Call the hotel and they tell us they have no rooms and that she will have to call me back in a few minutes to get us in another room. Anyways they call us back and say that they have one room that is a step down from the one we are in and that we can have that for the night and then the next day they will open the door and give us a room that was the same as our room. Another long story short, the keys that they had did not work in the door, we spend 45 minutes in the hallway, I get accused of being passed out drunk in the hallway. The bellboy then produces two keys for another room so off we ago again. He opens the door and OMG the room is like a castle!! It was awesome. So on Saturday night we had a party in our room and drank a ton of apple pucker. So that is my wild and crazy PTA weekend.

Going away for the weekend!

I am going away for the weekend. I am going to PTA leadership conference. We have 3 days at a local resort with leadership training.

The best part of it all is the vendors are trying to get us all to sign up with them for fundraiser and they take us out to dinner and give us cool stuff. I am so on the tour bus to Carrabba's.

I will be back on Sunday. Don't have to much fun without me.

Family

I have spent the past couple days with my grandmother just talking and getting to know each other again. Taking long walks down memory lane. I had lost track of how important she is to me. You know families go through stuff and some survive and others don't. Mine is one of those that is leaning towards the don't. I made myself and her a promise that even if the rest of this family fall to pieces we will never let our relationship fall apart. I am just glad that I have been given the time to make these changes and to make the most of the time that we have left together. Life is way to short to not get along. I have had a lot of internal struggle this week and have come to the conclusion that I am just going to start over with a clean slate and build the relationship that I have let fall apart over the years.

Not really sure where I was headed with this post just typing the thoughts as they zing through my head. Anyways thanks for reading and thanks for the prayers.

Prayers Needed...Updated

My grandmother is in the ICU at our local hospital. She is very sick. Any and all prayers and positive thoughts would be appreciated.

My grandmother is holding her own and may be moved into a regular room early next week. Thank you to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. It is great to have a place to go for support. I would really like to thank Indigo for introducing me to blogging.

UPS SUCKS!!!!

I have decided UPS is the worst company in the world! My MIL and I get DH a very nice gift for father's day. It arrives late after we pay the extra to have it shipped.. no biggie dh is so excited that he hardly notices the big rip in the top of the box and that the UPS driver is so fast that he can't catch him before he is back in his truck. So dh has to wait until dark to play with his gift. I get home from class and he says it is broken. I am like what???????? He says my new very expensive toy is broken. I instantly email the person we bought it from. He files a claim and they are supposed to be here sometime today to pick it back up inspect it and finish the claim.

So Today: I am sitting at the desk doing my crappy homework and I hear the UPS truck so I go get the package. Dh did not tape it shut so I tape it shut. I walk out on the porch to wait for UPS jackass to get out of his truck and get said package. Well much to my surprise he stands up walks to the back of his truck, comes back to the front, sits down in his seat starts his truck and leaves. I was standing on my front porch in shock. He just left never even bothered to get out or attempt to get the package. I then call UPS and they inform me that this claim does not belong to me but belongs to the person that shipped the item and that I cannot access the claim to see if that was #1 of my three pick-up attempts. I then informed her that UPS sucks and their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with and I would be telling everyone I know that they suck. So there you have it UPS SUCKS!!!

Swim Lessons

My kids all started swim lessons today. They had to go with dad because I had to work this morning.

He says to me "Was I supposed to leave them by their selves?"

I say " Not that I know of why?"

Him: "Most people dropped their kids off at the gate and left."

Me: "Even the little guys?" By little I mean 4yo.

Him: "Yes, I was not leaving our kids by themselves at the pool,especially kid 3 who is 4."

Me: " I don't blame you I would have stayed also."

Am I crazy or is it okay to just drop your 4 yo off at the pool doors and leave? Some people did not even bother to get out of their cars to sign their kids in. Maybe I am paranoid because of the media and stuff but the less my kids are away from me the better I feel.

Would you have dropped your 4 yo off at the gate? Am I crazy?
